The ground has broken for a new headquarters and daycare at Graceland with the Lucknow Kinsmen.
A groundbreaking was held on Saturday for the project where Music in the Fields and the Dungannon Super Pull take place every year.
Ken Irwin, Co-Chair for Music in the Fields and Lucknow Kinsmen member says a headquarter was something they had wanted to do for a while and they were then approached about adding a childcare space which fit in for them.
“That was on our mind, we own this land so we thought about building here. Then Joan and Paul came forward and said one of the communities greatest needs is childcare so we thought well why don’t we just put it on the end?” said Irwin.
While a completion date for the headquarters and childcare space isn’t entirely known, it isn’t expected to be ready for this years Music in the Fields taking place in August.
