Wellington County, along with the City of Guelph have opened the doors at the 65 Delhi St Transitional Housing Facility.
A transitional housing facility is a type of temporary housing with associated support services.
Transitional housing is designed to provide support for individuals with a safe place to stay along with programs of individualized support services such as counselling, job training and placement, community activities and help with life skills.
Warden Chris White says this will help fill a critical gap in adult housing opportunities and be instrumental and supporting the health and well being of 28 people currently experiencing homelessness.
