The Huron County OPP have laid charges against a person barricaded in a residence in Vanastra last Friday afternoon.
Officers, West Region Tactics and Rescue and Emergency Response as well as Crisis Negotiators responded around 2:05 pm.
The individual initially refused to come out but was eventually taken into custody without injury.
The person faces charges including mischief under $5,000, uttering threats, assault of a peace officer with a weapon and obstructing an officer.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing with police saying there was no threat to public safety.
