Cold weather has certainly shocked the area with temperatures reaching as low between -30 to -35 with the windchill and that’s done its cause of issues for those starting their vehicles.
With batteries not firing up in the cold snap and those might be needing a boost, DG’s Pro Tech in answering the call offering free battery boosting services for the next few days.
Dustin Golley with DG’s Pro Tech says it was the opening of warming centres and his own truck struggling to start which gave him the idea.
“On the way home Tuesday night I heard about the warming centre at the Steve Kerr and I thought man it is cold out there and how frustrating that would be with a frozen battery or frozen starter motor and just how down heartening that would be. This morning I even started my vehicle in this weather and my truck which is perfectly maintained really cranked slow and almost didn’t start.” said Golley.
Those needing a boost can call the pro shop at 519-418-2886 and a licensed tech will arrive to confirm if your battery is affecting and get you a boost but the team can also confirm other issues if its not the battery causing starting issues.
The service is being limited to just the North Perth area.
