As the region runs into a cold snap with temperatures exceeding -30 with the windchill, OPP across the West Region are warning drivers to be prepared to face intense cold and some snowfall in the area.
Police say moments like this and getting stuck in a ditch can be dangerous with OPP providing tips to ensure you stay safe.
OPP say to always dress for the weather even if you’ll only be in your car, make sure you have a charged phone, have enough fuel before hitting the road and to carry a winter driving survival kit with items including a shovel, blanket, food, water, booster cables and a flashlight.
