The first of four of the Canada Carbon Rebate payment will hit Canadian wallets today.
Canadians living in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and all four Atlantic provinces will get the payment so long as you filed your 2023 taxes.
These payment will be sent every three months with the next wave of payments coming in April, July and October.
The rebate is meant to help Canadians offset costs from the federal governments pollution pricing.
In Ontario, you can expect to get anywhere from $90-225 with a base payment of $140 up from $122 last year.
Small town and rural residents will get an extra 20 per cent beyond the base rebate amount due to increased energy needs and lack of access to cleaner transportation.
