Local food banks have received support from the United Food and Commercial Workers.
UFCW Locals 175 and 633 members and staff pledged $3000 to the Local CFC in Stratford, the Listowel Salvation Army and the Food Bank of Waterloo.
The donations come after Feed Ontario’s report in September which showed over 1 million people in Ontario visiting a food bank over the last year with 7.6 million visits to food banks in province between April 2023 and March 2024.
