The Upper Grand District School Board says their results from EQAO testing has seen a slight gain from the provincial averages.
The results from the 2023-24 year with Grade 3 reading showing a 3 per cent increase to 73 per cent, writing was up 1 per cent to 64 per cent with math seeing a larger increase of 7 per cent to 64.
For grade 6 students reading reaching 86 per cent and 85 per cent in writing.
Math showed a 3 per cent gain to 56 per cent. Grade 9 math showed 58 per cent were meeting or exceeding the provincial standard with the grade 10 literacy test having 87 per cent of students be successful.
Director of Education Peter Sovran says these results are a testament to the dedication and focus of staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure every student succeeds.
