A massive reconstruction project in downtown Palmerston is set to take place in the summer of 2026.
Main Street East and West will undergo reconstruction with the limits being 400 metres west of Toronto Street to 140 metres east of King’s Highway 23.
The scope of this work is wide with the full replacement of underground infrastructure including existing water-main, sanitary and storm sewer with new services to property line for properties serviced.
Road surface work will see improved roadway cross sections, sidewalks and driveway entrances.
Given the scope of the project a public meeting a public meeting is taking place on October 30th at the Palmerston Arena from 5-8pm.
