It’s a milestone donation for the Stratford General Hospital Foundation, remembering the name Lorene Donaldson.
Lorene’s husband, John made the donation in her memory to the tune of $145,800.
Lorene who passed away in 2022 had received care at the Grand River Hospital and while she did not receive care at the Stratford General Hospital, John says she’d want to support care in the community where she and John spent so much of their lives and where John currently lives.
John says it would be something Lorene would appreciate as she’s always been a giving person, worrying about others as much as she worried about herself.
The gift will provide enhanced staff training and resources to care for patients living with dementia at the Stratford General Hospital.
