With the next Car Free Friday in Stratford taking place on August 9th, the Downtown Stratford BIA is inviting all to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The ceremony is being held for the block art installation at 35 George Street between Chocolate Barrs and the Stratford Police Station.

Jamie Pritchard, General Manager of the BIA says, “We had this eyesore of a vacant city
lot and wanted to clean it up a little. On the lot were 27 barricades and our team decided
they would make excellent blank canvases and thus the idea which ultimately became this
open-air art gallery! This peaceful, art-infused spot is perfect for a time-out in your busy
day!”

The ribbon cutting will be taking place at 9am.

Car Free Friday is a celebration of active transportation with residents encouraged to enjoy cycling, rolling or busing into work without your car.
