Mapleton is joining Minto on allowing Sunday gun hunting.
Council earlier this week voted in favour to allow the move which all began last month when Ray Kuper approached council to allow gun hunting on Sunday.
Kuper made note that 90 per cent of Ontario muncipalites which allow Sunday gun hunting.
When asked when this could happen, Clerk Larry Wheeler says it could come this September but they might need to wait until next spring.
“It would be in the spring, we’d be forced to wait until the Spring of 2025” said Wheeler.
With the approval by council, the Ministry of Natural Resources will now process the change to allow Sunday gun hunting.
