Summerfest Disturbance Leads to Charges

A disturbance at Summerfest has led to arrests.

Over the weekend from July 4th-8th the St Marys Kinsmen Club hosted their annual Summerfest event which had officers on site.

On July 7th at 1:30am police on duty arrested two men after a disturbance at a beer tent with both identified as an 18 year old of Perth South and 21 year old of Perth South.

Police learned the 18 year old broke a table and refused to identify himself at which a 21 year old assaulted two officers.

Both were arrested with the 18 year old charged with Mischief Under $5000 and Obstructing Police.

The 21 year old was charged with Assaulting an officer, Assault with Intent to Resist and Obstructing Police.
