Wellington North council has continued to honour local athletes with two teams and two athletes being recognized in a meeting last month.
The Mount Forest Rams U11 Rep were honoured who captured the Ontario Minor Hockey Association Tier 2 Championship at the end of March, the Arthur Vipers U18 were also recognized for being an undefeated team in both the regular season and playoffs while also giving back to the community.
12 year old Kieran Romanowski was given praise for being crowned the national champion in his category at the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations in Niagara Falls and Kennedy Ray, a 12 year old of Mount Forest winning a provincial championship in her division in kickboxing and this year winning bronze at the WAKO National Championships in April.
