Avon Maitland District School Board students recently took part in the Skills Ontario Competition which took place in Toronto on May 6th and 7th.
The event showcased the talents and skills of students across the province which had 37 students across AMDSB taking part.
A variety of events were put on including LEGO Mechanical Engineering, Technology and Character Animation.
Upper Thames Elementary School saw one of the two teams secure a silver medal in the grade 4-6 character animation competition.
Tim Bickell, Student Success Coach says the students achievements are a testament to the education and training provided by the school and they’re thrilled to see them represent the district on a grand stage.
