Wellington County’s Solid Waste Services Division is making changes to user pay garbage fees as of July 1st.
The fee increase has been deemed necessary to ensure the continued provision of high quality waste management services to residents across Wellington County.
Large user bag increases will go up to $2.50 each, small user bags at $2 each with bag fees at waste facility sites being $2.50.
Warden Andy Lennox says costs in most sectors including manufacturing has increased significantly since the last fee increase in 2016.
