The Palmerston & District Hospital could become teaching site given the success of recruiting efforts to bring healthcare professionals locally.
Sharing with council on Wednesday in Mapleton, Dr. Christine Peterkin says they almost have a full roster of residents and its making them an ideal spot to be a teaching site within a few years.
Dr. Peterkin also sharing they were able to fill four of six available residency positions and received funding to hire more nurse practitioners.
In support, Mapleton council approved $10,000 in funding to the Mapleton-Minto Health Professional Recruitment Committee for another year.
