A 17 year old has been charged after an assault which sent a victim to hospital.
On April 19th just before 7pm OPP responded to an assault with a weapon call on St David Street in Fergus.
One person was rushed to hospital after being attacked by a youth with an edged weapon.
Police were able to arrested the attacker.
The victims injuries were considered non life threatening.
As a result a 17 year old of no fixed address has been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Weapons for Dangerous Purpose.
The accused was held for bail.
