Ontario gas prices have hiked up across the province.
Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy said earlier this week a a 14 cent litre increase could occur overnight Thursday.
This has pushed gas prices in cities across Ontario to almost $1.80 a litre not seen since August 2nd 2022.
In Listowel prices are just shy of the $1.80 mark.
This increase comes due to the higher cost of summer blended gasoline with the cheaper winter blend not returning until the fall.
McTeague warns with the switchover and the carbon tax increase and rising price of oil the cost of gas will stay high over the spring and summer.
