Search Warrant on Wallace Avenue North Results in Multiple Arrests

A search warrant in Listowel has dug up drugs and prohibited weapons.

On February 29th the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit and Perth County OPP alongside West Region Canine made a series of arrests following a drug trafficking investigation.

Three people were arrested on Wallace Avenue North and found in possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and hydromorphone as well as cash and brass knuckles.

Further search warrants were executed at two homes on Wallace Avenue North and Elm Avenue North and a storage unit on Fairlane Road with another individual being arrested.

The total value of the drugs was around $15,000 with other seized property being $1200.

As a result multiple people were arrested and charged including;

A 37 year old man of North Perth, has been charged with:

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (fentanyl and other opioid) (two counts)

–      Mischief – Interfere with lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property – Under $5000

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

A 38 year old woman of North Perth, has been charged with:

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (fentanyl and other opioid) (two counts)

The accused parties were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 38 year old man of Wellington County, has been charged with:

–      Unauthorized Possession of Weapon

–      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford March 25, 2024, to answer to the charges.

A 38 year old of North Perth has been charged with:

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (fentanyl and other opioid) (three counts)
