Local meat producers are getting a boost from the provincial government.
Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae has announced $396,000 is being invested from the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership program.
Producers including Atwood Heritage Processing, Golden Valley Farms and Domingos Meats will all see a share of the funding.
Atwood Heritage and Golden Valley will see $150,000 with Domingos receiving $96,000
The province says this funding builds on a previous investment of $14 million in the Meat Processors Capacity Improvement Initiative funded through the Canadian Agricultural partnership since 2020.
