Harriston residents got the chance to look at the proposed changes to the fairgrounds by the Harriston Arena last week during a public meeting.
Held on Tuesday, it was the first look at some changes to the grounds which will include a multi use sports pad, new parking lot and a pavilion among many other changes.
A new walking path connecting the arena grounds to the Kinsmen Swimming Pool has also been among the new proposals.
The new sports pad will accommodate basketball, pickleball and ball hockey with hopes down the road to be used for an outdoor skating rink in the winter.
The new plan will head to council next week.
