Wellington County OPP are looking to recruit citizens to take part in the Citizens Police Academy taking place in Fergus.
The academy is a chance for citizens to learn more about policing in a way few get to experience without becoming a sworn member.
Selected applicants will get exposure to a variety of police topics such as canine handling, homicide investigation, dispatch and collision reconstruction.
Those who take part will get to visit the Fergus OPP detachment, learn more about the Auxiliary program and see techniques and equipment used to nab impaired drivers.
Submissions of interest must be done in person at the Fergus detachment and must be at least 18 years or older.
