Mount Forest has added another crossing guard citing ongoing safety issues.
A report heading to council this afternoon shows the decision to have the placement of a second crossing at the Victoria Cross School.
A parent had reached out to the township who mentioned her son was almost hit by a car while the crossing guard was on the street with the stop sign up.
Currently the township has six part time crossing guards with one back up who work from 8-9am and 3-4pm across Arthur and Mount Forest.
Crossing guards are setup at what are the busiest intersections of the township.
