Staff in Mapleton are planning to recommend a salary increase for both the mayor and council heading into 2024.
Being presented later today, staff will be recommending the increase to what is listed as average amounts for 2024 as their remuneration is the lowest across Wellington County.
If approved, Mayor Gregg Davidson and the rest of council would make $35,482 and $21,800 respectably.
The new amounts will be adjusted by the Consumer Price Index starting January 2025.
