Local leaders in mental health and wellness are coming together to hold a public youth forum on November 16th.
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, the Canadian Mental Health Association of Waterloo-Wellington, The Grove and Dufferin Child and Family Services have all partnered up for the forum to discuss the impacts of the pandemic on children and youth.
A study by public health found mental health challenges have hit youth hard with one in five, or 20 per cent of students in Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph have harmed themselves in the last year.
The forum will take place at the GrandWay Events Centre from 8:30am-12:30pm.
