Wellington County has been recognized as the 2023 North American Hazardous Materials Management Association Award winner.
The award recognizes the county’s Solid Waste Services Division who was nominated by a resident within the county.
Wellington’s mobile household hazardous waste depot has seen a slew of success being very accessible for residents and being cost effective.
Warden Andy Lennox gave praise to the residents in the county for their commitment to protecting the environment and keeping hazardous materials out of landfills who have done their part in the HHW depot program.
