It’s another year for CIBC’s Run for the Cure in Listowel taking place in October.
Taking place at the Listowel Memorial Park on October 1st, the annual walk helps raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society in fighting breast cancer.
Kim Hutchings-Hahn with Listowel’s Run for the Cure says the run gives everyone the chance to walk or run all together as a group.
“We’re all together and we can walk as well which is what I think the majority of the people will do but it is a run so people have the opportunity for runners to join in. We just want to create awareness and inspire hope and open a dialogue that allows the community to share their story.” said Hahn.
Last year Run for the Cure was able to raise nearly $3000 for breast cancer research.
The run at Listowel Memorial Park starts at 11am.
