Due to staffing shortages, the Wingham & District Hospital Emergency Department will be closing overnight on Sunday.
The closure will occur at 5pm and reopen on Monday at 7am returning to regular 24 hours of service.
Patients having a medical emergency are asked to call 911 with paramedics remaining available and will re-route to the nearest emergency department.
The Listowel-Wingham Hospital Alliance says this is a temporary measure they regret they have to make.
