A final effort to save Avon Crest has failed to go through.
During Stratford’s council meeting, Jane Marie Mitchell presented to council a last effort to save the site of Stratford’s first public hospital which is in the process of being torn down with Revera Canada planning to build a 128 bed long term care home in its place.
Mitchell told council Avon Crest is a historic building with lots of heritage value.
Despite Mitchells plea during the presentation, council made no motion after the delegation.
