It didn’t take council to long to approve the expected tender to Avion Construction for the Listowel Downtown Parkette during Monday’s meeting.
North Perth approved the construction of the Parkette as part of the 2023 Economic Development capital budget process with the amount of $179,620.
Jessica McLean, Manager of Strategic Initiatives says for bids received, certain criteria were required when it came to experience on similar work.
“Bidders were to provide three references for work preformed of a similar scope and value to this request for tender for other municipalities” said McLean.
Council gave the approval for Avion Construction out of Milton with a bud price of $117,531 excluding HST.
When work will begin for the Parkette is still not known.
