Incident at Crabby Joes Leads to Multiple Charges

One person faces multiple charges after an incident on Friday at Crabby Joe’s in Listowel.

On June 30th just after 5pm, Perth County OPP responded to a disturbance at the business on Main Street West.

It was reported a customer had been asked to leave and became aggressive.

When officers arrived the man was wielding an edged weapon and was taken into custody after resisting arrest.

No injuries were reported from the incident.

As a result a 21 year old of North Perth faces multiple charges;

-Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
-Assault (two counts)
-Assault with intent to resist arrest
-Assault a Peace Officer While Carrying a Weapon
-Assault a Peace Officer with a weapon
-Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
-Mischief – destroys or damages property
-Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
