Construction has begun for the reconstruction of Elma Street from Wallace to Victoria in Listowel.
With work expected to last until October, North Perth council will attempt to address some expected traffic concerns tonight in council.
Among them include the periods of restricted access for commercial trucks on Livingston Avenue South to Spinrite.
During these restrictions, trucks will need safe access to Union Street.
Town staff has recommended commercial truck traffic be allowed to use Union Street during the construction work.
Staff has recommended the following to council;
– Removal of the commercial truck restriction currently in place on Union from
Wallace Avenue South to the Union street bridge
-Removal of parking on both sides of Union Street West from Wallace Avenue
south to a point 50 meters to the west
