Wellington County is once again supporting local students in need of financial assistant with another wave of bursary and scholarship applications now open.
First launched in 2008, the County will award 10 applicants with $1000 to help provide students heading into their first year of an accredited college or university.
Requirements include being a resident of Wellington County, having a proven record of involvement in the community, having an overall average of 75% upon graduating high school for a scholarship and those applying for a bursary must demonstrate in writing financial need.
Applications must be submitted to the County Deputy Clerk by August 31st.
