The Listowel Curling Club has showed its signs of age as the club is faced with replacing the dehumidifier, a dishwasher and the installation of new off ice viewing glass in the lounge of the club.
Also needed for health and safety standards includes an eye wash station and the club wishes to install an ice monitoring controller using technology to provide online access.
The costs are hefty for the club who have gotten community support with a recent auction.
The club is looking ahead to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for a Capital Funding Grant to assist with costs.
Before going forward, the club is turning to the municipality for support at tonight’s council meeting.
