Explosion at Dairy Farm in Northern Texas sends 1 to Hospital Monday Night

The Castro County Sheriff’s Office, Fire and emergency responders were called to Southfork Dairy Farms located around 11 miles southeast of Dimmit, Texas at around 7:20 Monday night.

An explosion at a dairy farm in Northern Texas has sent 1 person to hospital and killed an unknown number of animals.

The Castro County Sheriff’s Office, fire and emergency responders were called to Southfork Dairy Farms located around 11 miles southeast of Dimmit, Texas at around 7:20 Monday night.

Upon arrival they determined 1 person was trapped inside a building and fire crews were able to locate and they were flown to a hospital in Lubbock.

All other employees were accounted for.

5 other fire departments assisted in battling the blaze.

3 other police forces assisted as well.

Texas Department of Emergency Management is on scene with emergency crews working until after 11pm.
