A 25 year old female is facing several fraud charges after being caught impersonating a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
On March 8th, members of Durham’s Major Crime Fraud Unit made an arrest in the investigation of a female suspect applying for jobs as an RPN with fraudulent documents.
The suspect was not registered the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Investigation also found she had been employed as RPN by at least four senior retirement and long term residences out of the GTA since 2021.
The 25 year old from Oshawa is charged with 11 offences including 4 counts of Fraud Over $5000, 2 counts of Uttering Forged Documents and Personation with Intent and Possess Identity Information with Interference of Fraud.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
