The Perth East and West Perth Fire Department have shared their 2022 snapshot.
The breakdown of the report looks into the calls responded to from each department, involvement in the community from fundraising to school visits and spreading the message of fire prevention.
Among the heavy workload for the fire department, it was tragedy which struck in March last year involving the drowning of a young girl.
While the nine day search did turn out successful in locating the girl, it was made possible with the support OPP, HASAR and many surrounding fire departments.
Incidents such as these are included to have Chaplin Bill Ney and the Peer Support Team to help members in dealing with Critical Incident Stress Management.
