The cost for paying Minto councilors was up around $30,000 in 2022 when compared to numbers from previous years.
Treasurer Gord Duff provided a report of council remuneration and expenses which showed the salary and covered expenses for Minto councilors between December 1st 2021 to November 15th 2022 totaled $167,601.
This is up from $137,057 from the same time in 2021-22, up 22 per cent.
A new council remuneration schedule was adopted in 2022 which began on November 15th last year for the new term of council.
