The verdict has been called on the owner of Buck and Jo’s who went against public health orders requiring patrons to show proof of vaccination at a time when vaccination status was a requirement to enter a restaurant.

Stephen Hill was convicted on one count of failing to comply with the Health Protection Act, one count of Failure to Comply with getting proof of vaccination from patrons and one count of failure to produce a safety plan.

Hill shared he would not check for vaccination status for customers, comparing the vaccine requirement to segregation.

The owners shared videos online of their confrontations with Huron Perth Public Health.

Hill was given a fine of $5,500.

Hill shared over Buck and Jo’s social media they will remain closed until further notice as they cannot continue to operate as is.
