Lactanent has once again named the best of Canada’s Best Managed Dairy Herds for the year which has seen some local pride get some recognition.
At number 25 was Legacy Holstiens from Atwood run by Steve Dolson, Karen Galbraith and Sally and Geoff McMullen.
Cracking within the top 20 in the country was Hillmanor Farms of West Perth.
Coming in at number 4 was Ulmar Holstiens in Mitchell managed by Hans and Marlise Pfister and their three kids.
Heerdink Farms of St Marys was named at number 7.
Braden Bertens of Mitchell was also named with Faralary Hill Farms from Embro at number 6.
In 2021, Pfister Farms ranked at number 4 for best managed herds and St Marys Heerdink farms was ranked 3rd.
