A $23,000 grant from the federal government is being put forward to assist seniors and stay safe while on the web.
The New Horizons for Seniors Program in Wellington North was given funding as announced by the township.
Mayor Andy Lennox says the funding will help recruit a staffer to connect and deliver workshops for seniors to better understand online tools and ensure they stay safe, avoiding things such as scams.
The workshop will be launched in the spring being offered to seniors in Wellington North, Minto and Mapleton.
