Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae shared his thoughts after being invited to take part in the First Jobs Campaign by the Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin.
The campaign sees social users challenge each other to tell of their first jobs.
He said in his post that his first job off the farm was at a restaurant in Wellington County.
“My first job off the farm was at Greenley’s Restaurant in Clifford. Now called Gramma Jo’s. I learned a lot of important life skills at Greenley’s. Whether it’s multi-tasking, communication, or customer service.”
Rae adds that he still uses the skills he learned while working at that job as an MPP today.
He also took the time to challenge others to participate as well.
Thank you @workforceWWD for inviting me to participate in the First Jobs Campaign.
