The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall revealed the statistics for the province in terms of fatalities in fires and they call it the worse year in decades.
There was a total of 133 fire-related fatalities last year. They say each one represents someone’s loved one.
They say to not be a statistic and take fire safely seriously.
They advise only working smoke alarms save lives.
They also say to plan and practice a Home Escape Plan to be prepared.
