The Development proposal for the Eden Grove property in Wallace Ward of North Perth has moved one step closer to something happening on the site.
The site just saw its notice period for a request for an Official Plan Amendment lapse on Dec. 5th.
The proposal would see uses such as assisted living, residential units, restaurant, commercial space or private school permitted on the site.
Perth County Planner Jerrica Gilbert says there are a few more steps needed before possible approval.
“I’m hoping to take it to North Perth Council in January. That’s not the public meeting. The Public Meeting would happen in Stratford at Perth County Council and that would happen sometime in early February.”
Currently permitted on the site prior to any amendment include a nursing home, place of worship, hotel or conference centre, attached residential units, commercial rec centre or golf course.
