The old Red Maple Hotel in Monkton was left destroyed in a fire on Monday.
North Perth Fire was joined by stations in Perth East and West as well as by Minto Fire late morning to the area with heavy smoke coming from the building.
Crews spent much time in the afternoon battling the blaze with Winstanley Street closed in the afternoon by OPP.
The building was then knocked down with an excavator which also was home to Sisters Antiques.
The road has since reopened at 4:30 this morning.
