Snow is on the ground and sights have been quickly set on outdoor puck season in Atwood.
The Atwood Lions Club has been operating an outdoor ice rink for many years when construction first began in 2013.
Some issues however did arise in recent years as in February in 2021, due to the absence of an updated lease agreement and liability insurance, the rink was closed.
A lease has recently been finalized and approved by the Atwood Lions as the next step is approval from council.
The facility will continue to be maintained by the Lions this winter.
