On November 8th an officer with Wellington County OPP was on patrol in Palmerston when they observed a side by side on Main Street East with 3 dogs in the back.
While the vehicle was in motion one of the dogs fell from the rear and landed on the roadway. The dog was unharmed from the incident.
As a result of the investigation a 28 year old from Palmerston was charged with Insecure Load contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
OPP are reminding all pet owners to ensure their pets are properly secured anytime they are transporting them in a vehicle.
