Perth-Wellington MP John Nater shared word and a photo from a presentation held today .
Nater says that in Perth County’s 172 year history, the County has been led by a woman as Warden for only 6 years; and half of that time was under the leadership of Julie Behrns.
He says as she takes leave from municipal government he was honoured to present her with a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee pin.
He says Julie’s resilient leadership as Mayor during the tragic loss of two firefighters in 2011 helped to heal the community and strengthen its resolve.
