On Monday October 17th at around 8:30am, Huron County OPP received a report of a suspicious vehicle at a Tim Hortons parking lot in Exeter.
Officers arrived to find a Dodge Caliber with two occupants inside and as officers attempted to speak with them, the occupants were unresponsive.
Both were woken up and identified with evidence of drug use being observed.
As a result, the female driver was placed under arrest for Driving While Impaired and a search found suspected fentanyl.
The male passenger was also arrested with two outstanding warrants with suspected fentanyl also found on his person.
Officers were also able to determine the vehicle was stolen the day before.
As a result the 33 year old driver from North Huron was charged with Operation while Impaired, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, 2 counts of Failing to Comply with Probation Order and Possession of a Schedule I Substance.
The 53 year old male from North Huron was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, and Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid.
Both were processed and held for a bailing hearing.
